Cruickshank, Leslie “Myron”, 79 of Plymouth formerly of Caledonia, Guysborough County passed away February 20, 2024 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born at home on July 25, 1944 in Caledonia, Guysborough, County, NS he was a son of the late Kenneth and Laura (Cameron)Cruickshank. Myron worked all his working years as a truck driver and woods contractor with his father and brothers at K.S. Cruickshank and Sons Ltd, Caledonia. He also operated his own Lathe Mill in Caledonia for a few years and spent many happy hours snowmobiling and ATVing. After retirement he spent many enjoyable years at craft markets and shows with his barnboard creations alongside his wife, making new friends and different experiences. He was a member of the Presbyterian Cursillo, as well as a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, St. Paul’s and for many years a member of the former Regina I00F Lodge, Sunnybrae and the Pictou County ATV club. He was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Laura (Cameron) Cruickshank, a brother Grant Cruickshank and in-laws Herbert and Nora Moore. He is survived by his wife the former Sandra (Moore), Plymouth; his children: Janet (Harold) Kelly, New Glasgow; sons: Kevin (Susan) Cruickshank, Enfield; and Trevor (Angela) Cruickshank, Hopewell; his grandchildren: Ryan (Emily MacDonald and her son Wyatt MacDonald) Kelly, Brittany Kelly and Jordan Kelly, New Glasgow; Jennifer (Tyler) Heudes, Dartmouth; Allison (Daniel) Jack, Dartmouth; Ian Cruickshank, Hopewell; two great-grandchildren: Nathaniel and Sadie Kelly, his brother Keith (Shirley)Cruickshank, New Glasgow; brother-in-law Ted Moore, Ontario; sister-in-law Francis Zentner; several nieces and nephews. His remains will rest at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow for visiting from 6 to 8pm Friday from where funeral services will be held 11am Saturday with Rev. Greg Dickson and Lynn MacDonald presiding. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home. Burial at a later date in the Caledonia Cemetery. Donations in memory of Myron may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
