The first time Mike came to Pictou Landing, I was dog sitting for Bernice . A knock on the door.I opened it . There stood a tall man dressed in leather with curly hair down his back. He asked for his mom. I new his sisters and brothers . Never new of Mike. We'll 2 weeks later his mom made it clear not to take Mike to the purple palace. Well Mike insisted. Sorry Bernice. Mike made lifelong friends that day. My sincere congratulations to his family and friends. Mike was 1 of a kind. Rest in peace my friend.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked in the office at Glen Haven Manor for many years so I had many interactions with your dad. We’d always share a laugh after we figured things out.
Thank you for sharing some of your memories of him.

Geri and I were very saddened to hear of Mikes passing. He struggled for 15 long years after he became I’ll.But there certainly was no quit in him.He always continued to walk and tried to get outside for fresh air and exercise.Mike had a fantastic sense of humour and was always good for a laugh.Mike and his wife moved to Calgary in 1988 that was when I got to know Mike. They always had a open invitation for Sunday dinner for me.Mike and I became good friends during this time,we had a lot good times together.I will always remember the times we spent together with a smile.Best cribbage player I ever met.Geri and I extend our most sincere condolences to Jeremiah,Chris,Rainbow and their families.Rest in Peace Mikey
Sincerely Greg and Geri Kirk
