Mary “Isabel” (MacLeod) Dean

March 17, 1935-February 8, 2024

Dean, Mary “Isabel” (MacLeod), age 88 passed away on February 8, 2024 at the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow where she was a resident since 2021.

Born in Lochaber she was a daughter of the late William L. and Mary (Munroe)MacLeod.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In her early years she resided in Avondale Station. After marrying Ira Wilson Dean, they made their home in Rossfield. For a period, mom lived in Stellarton, then later Haven Brook Manor before moving to The Glen Haven Manor.

She is survived by her daughter Janet (Dean)MacLeod, Janet’s son Chad (Honey), their children, Cas, Ira and Yuri, her son Lloyd (Rose), his children Ira (Kim), Jacklyn (Derrick), their children Eli and Maisie, a daughter Debbie (Dean) Rod MacLean, a son Aldie (Alvonia) and their daughter Alissa.

She was predeceased by her husband Ira Dean in 1999, her parents, sisters: Agnes, Esther, brothers: William, Robert and a great grandson Rowan.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Thursday June 13, 2024 at the Barneys River Presbyterian Church, Kenzieville with Patricia Smith presiding. Burial will take place in the Kenzieville Cemetery.
