Obituary of Barry Wayne Jordan

In Loving Memory Jordan, Barry Wayne, 57 of High Level, AB formerly of Stellarton passed away December 17, 2023 in Grand Prairie, Alberta with his loving family by his side. Born in Toronto on May 16th, 1966 but grew up in Nova Scotia, he was a son of Patricia “Pat” (Fraser)Jordan, MacDonald and the late Vernon Ross Jordan. Growing up, Barry enjoyed hockey and baseball, later in life, darts, golf, playing pool and camping. Barry and his hockey team were inducted into the Pictou County Sports Heritage Hall of Fame, which was a very proud accomplishment for him. Barry enjoyed keeping in touch with his many friends and family and going to football games with his cousins in Ontario. Barry was an easy-going person and had a good relationship with everyone he knew and met and enjoyed working with his coworkers in the work force. Being an avid sports fan for the Habs, Blue Jays, Bills and Ti-cats, which he enjoyed watching his teams compete. Barry enjoyed spending holidays and visits with his extended family; Sharon Duplessis, Rachel(Karl), Chris (Rebecca), Jared (Justa-Lyn) Mookie (Brent) and and all their families. He dearly loved all their children and they all called him Papa, which he felt very proud of. Barry was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Grand Prairie, Alberta. He previously worked at the Trenton plant and later moved to High Level where he worked at West Fraser Timber. Survived by his mother Patricia “Pat” (Fraser)Jordan, MacDonald, a brother Dave (Lori), nephew Geoffrey (Aura), nieces Emily (Brad) and Alyssa, stepbrothers; Tony, Stephen and Charles (Kirk), stepsisters; Anna (Bob), and Sheila. aunts; Evelyn (Gerry) Doucette, Joan Jordan (Butch), and many cousins. Predeceased by his father Vernon Ross Jordan, maternal grandparents Grace and Michael Fraser, paternal grandparents Myrtle Jordan and Herman Hoare and special aunts Carlene Hughes and Diane Morris, and an uncle Wayne (aunt Shirley) Fraser and many more aunts and uncles. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday February 2, 2024 at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton followed by family prayers at 8pm with Father Tom MacNeil presiding. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm Saturday February 3, 2024 at 2pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Stellarton. Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Barry's life will be held on Saturday February 3, 2024 at 2pm at the Royal Canadian Legion in Stellarton. All are welcomed to attend.
