It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond Charles Roach, age 62, of Thorburn, Nova Scotia. Raymond left this world on January 7, 2024 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Born in New Glasgow to the late Morris and Florence (Woods) Roach, Raymond was a proud father, grandfather, loyal brother, uncle and cherished friend. He will be remembered by his sense of humour, jokes and a contagious smile that can brighten anyone’s day. He found joy in playing pool, darts and bowling. However, his ultimate joy was spending time with his family and friends, his two furbabies, Rocky and Angel and fishing with his brother John.

Raymond is survived by his partner of six years, Karen Maloy, son Raymond (Crystal) Roach, granddaughters Rhianna Roach and Savannah; brothers John (Linda), Scott Madore, sister Debbie (Gertie) Gabriel, many nieces, nephews and great-nieces, great-nephews and close friends who he held close to his heart.

He was predeceased by his brother, Louis.

There will be no funeral held at the request of Raymond. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the SPCA

The family would like to thank the Aberdeen Palliative Care Unit who took such great care of Raymond.
