Dear Vicky and children, Audrey and my beloved cousins and families:
My heart is breaking with yours and I am thinking about when we were
growing up. I remember many days swimming at Greener's, Clara playing
solitaire and reading tea leaves, walking to school with Greg, holding hands.
I remember when you moved from Fraser Ave. in Sydney Mines to Nelson St.
in New Glasgow and the years of road trips that began for family weddings, Audrey's
and Trudy's birthdays and March Breaks. Whenever Harold visited, he would
always talk one of us into washing his hair, believe it or not!!! He liked to joke and
laugh that great giggle and sigh and was kind to and considerate of those around him!!
Harold will be missed by all who knew him.

I have known Harold since 1967 we grew up together in the south end of New Glasgow. He was my best man in 1981.
Our lifes took different paths but we remained friends which I am grateful .
I was disappointed when I wasn't able to hook up with him this summer when I was home only to find out later he was in the hospital.

Thanks to Harold I bought my first Toyota car at the age of 17 and I will never forget the time got my hiccups cured... we were at his house and I couldn't stop hiccuping. I tried water, I tried holding my breath, nothing worked...til Harold said Come here, close your eyes, and concentrate on my fingers. While he pulled them up n down my face. Within a minute my hiccups were gone. It was like magic. I still remember it and try that method til this day.
