Laura Z. (Rector) Fraser, age 87, of Pine Tree passed away on October 20, 2023 at home. Born in Telford she was a daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Rector) Rector.
Laura was a resident of Pine Tree the last 2 years. Her greatest Joy in life was her family. She loved her pets and all animals.
She was a member of Branch 34 Royal Canadian legion, New Glasgow. Laura had worked at several nursing homes and also did home care.
She is survived by children Rachel (Donald) Beaman, Carroll’s Corner; Donna Fraser (Brian Beaman), Truro; John R. Fraser, Pine Tree; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother John (Diane) Rector, Pine Tree; sister Florence MacAulay, Pine Tree; sisters-in law Norma Fraser, Woodburn Road; Millie Rector, Pine Tree; brother-in-law Bob Beaton, New Glasgow; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers Hibbie (Emily) Rector, King (Vivian) Rector, James “Jimmie”, angus, sisters Mary (Harold) Brewer, Barb Beaton, son-in-law William MacDonald, brothers in law Paul Fraser and Earl (Bonnie) Fraser.
At Laura’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service or visitation.
