Wallace, Donald William- It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Donald William Wallace, 85 of Thorburn, who passed away peacefully at home on Sunday August 27, 2023.
Born in New Glasgow Donald was a son of the late Robert Bruce and Mary Ellen (Turnbull) Wallace.
He is survived by his five children, Carol (Gary)Thorburn; Donnie (Paula)Wallace, Brookville; Gloria (Andrew), Thorburn; Karen (Steven) Duff, Fraser's Mountain; and Tammy (David)Stewart, New Glasgow; grandsons; Robert Wallace, Montreal; Ryan Wallace, Wolfville; sisters; Eleanor Darroch, Stellarton; Jean O'Connor, Andersons Mountain and Gloria Clyburn, Plymouth.
Donald was predeceased by the love of his life of 58 years Una (Nix)Wallace who passed in 2020, a grandson Christopher Wallace, brothers Robert Wallace and Frank Wallace both of Thorburn
sisters, Mary Grant, Edith MacIntosh, Lillian Graham and Adeline Latter.
Cremation has taken place.
The family will receive friends from 10am until the time of service at 11am on Friday September 1, 2023 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow with Rev. Charles MacPherson presiding.
Burial will take place in the Thorburn Cemetery
