Obituary of Jane Elizabeth MacNeil

MacNeil, Jane Elizabeth- It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jane Elizabeth MacNeil on August 13, 2023 in the Palliative Care Unit at the Aberdeen Hospital, surrounded by the love and support of her family after a hardfought battle to cancer. Jane was born on November 5, 1957, a daughter of the late Edward and Shirley (MacIntosh)Fraser. Jane lived most of her life in Stellarton, working in various places as a cook. She got great pleasure baking favorite cookies and treat for her granddaughters. Jane’s passion was gardening, her yard showed this in all her beautiful flowers. Her favorite spot to relax was the beach, always sporting a nice tan. Jane loved finding a good bargain no matter if it was at a yardsale or a mall. She will be greatly missed by her son Allan MacNeil who resided with her; his daughters and Jane’s granddaughters Elizabeth MacNeil and Victoria MacNeil; her son Fraser MacNeil, Kingston, Ontario and their father Mike MacNeil, her sister Joanne Fraser, who was with her all the way to her sad end, a nephew Luke Fraser. She was loved by all her kittes which she adored. Also left to mourn are sisters-in law Margie Webb, Mary Priest, Anne Dewtie, Sis MacNeil and Barb Smith. She was predeceased by her parents Edward and Shirley (MacIntosh) Fraser and a brother John “Mouse” Fraser all of Stellarton. Cremation has taken place. Under the direction of the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
