Hector, Rodney, and Alfreda, we were both so terribly saddened to hear of Aunt Mary’s passing. We always enjoyed seeing and talking to her. She had a good sense of humour and was loved by many who knew her. She will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to you all. God bless.

Sending our love and sympathy to Alfreda, Hector and Rod. We were so very fortunate that Mary found our family when Ashley was a baby. Your mom was just the best person to look after Ashley. I’m sure Ashley’s love of books started with Mary - she read to her all the time. We always thought Ashley learned to be social at Tupperware parties. Mary loved Mark when he joined the family too. And Mary and Alfreda kept in touch with us all along. Even Elizabeth,?our granddaughter, has a connection to Mary and Alfreda.
Mary was a wonderful, kind, thoughtful and caring person who valued her family and community. We are grateful to have shared in her life.
Mary, we’ll hold you in our hearts forever.

Mary was my favorite cousin. I treasure memories of Mary's summer vacation on the farm just hanging out, even though I don't think that term had been invented then; raspberry picking expeditions, one of which resulted in a badly sprained ankle for Mary and required medical evacuation by tractor driven by our Uncle Ted; and, trips to the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition where Mary, just a few years older, acted as responsible adult for us younger ones.
Mary was one of those most valuable of people, a true connector. She always stayed in touch, knew birthdays and other milestones and was always there for the happy and sad occasions. More importantly, she urged us to stay in touch with each other.
I will miss her phone calls and her little notes, stories and jokes.
We always ended our conversations with "I love you". Well Mary, one final time I love you. May you rest in peace.

I've known Mary for many years (back to the 80's) We met at a meeting of the LOBA of Canada. I was very fortunate that I was in New Brunswick last year when Mary visited for a short while. We had a private chat and a few hugs. Mary was truly loved by us all and will be missed but she will be in our hearts forever. She was a loving Sister and a special friend. Deepest sympathies to family & friends. I pray that all your happy memories of such a wonderful woman will stay with you and that God will sustain the family through this trying sad time.
