Obituary of Mae Cameron

Phyllis “Mae” Cameron age 94 of Valley View Villa formerly of Stellarton passed away on June 15, 2023 at the Villa.
Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Ethel (Fraser) MacDonald.
Mae had been a resident of Stellarton since 1963 before moving to Valley View Villa. She had been an active member of Sharon St. John United Church, Stellarton and was a life member of the Esther Ruth Unit UCW.
Mae was an R.N. before her marriage to Donnie that included private duty nursing in Boston. Mae was particularly close to her sisters and cherished this closeness dearly. Mae was very proud of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived buy her sons Paul (Jane), Vancouver; Mark (Tryphena), Westville; Fraser (Wendy), Calgary; 6 grandchildren Alex, Megan, Ian, Luke, Holly and Duncan; sisters Elva Roy, Kingshead and Isabell Ross, Riverton.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald “Donnie”, children Donald and Jennifer; sisters Mildred Kellock, Violet MacLellan.
Visitation will be from 3-5 pm on Monday, June 19 in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel Stellarton. Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, June 20 in Sharon St. John United Church with Rev. Jun-Hyok Chon officiating. Burial will be in the MacLellan’s Mountain Cemetery.
