With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kenny Joe Francis age 51, surrounded by wife, children and loved ones on April 10th in the St. Martha’s Regional Hospital. Born in New Glasgow on February 25th,1972 to the late Kenneth and Alice Francis of Pictou Landing.

Kenny spent his time with his family and friends and was so proud of all his children and grandchildren his family meant everything to him. He played hockey, baseball, and pool. He enjoyed hunting in Cape Breton highlands with his father and children, Kenny also liked travelling and going camping and taking his family to powwows he also enjoyed long Sunday drives and Sunday flea markets. He was a fishermen for PLFN and worked for (school custodian). Kenny’s humor, strength and determination will never be forgotten.

Kenny will forever be missed by his wife Sylvia Francis and children Nevin (Tierra), Kendall, Skyler, Destiny, Elizabeth and chosen sons Jono and Earl Gould. Siblings Louie (deceased), Kelly (Andrew), Billy (Jordan), Tina (Eric), Troy and sisters Melissa and Stephanie. grandkids Madius, Ooti (Shanice), Treyden, Braelyn, Lucas, Braven, baby A and baby B (due August) and chosen grandson Drew. Godchildren, Sam, Randall, Kolton, Jontay (infant), Shelley (infant) aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews.

We would like to send our big thanks to the Dialysis Units in Pictou , Antigonish and Halifax for the last 3 years and our thanks to Dr. Cathy for the last 20 years of her care and Dr. Gillis, McNeil and Ebbie, Father Danny and sister Catherine.

Visitation will begin Monday April 17th after 5pm at home, 63 Harbourview Crest.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Pictou Landing at 11am Wednesday, April 19, followed by burial at the parish cemetery. There will be a sallite and auction to follow at the gym.
