Cooley, Raymond Charles of Abercrombie and formerly of Thorburn, passed away at home on Tuesday March 28th 2023, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in New Glasgow on October 13th, 1955 he was a son of the late Charles and Marion (MacDonald) Cooley.

Ray is survived by his wife Lorraine (Mattinson) children; Trevor (Jenny), Shawna (Jeff), and Jamie. His pride and joy grandchildren; Luke, Brandon and Charlotte. His siblings; James (Nadine), Greg (Isabel), Kathy (Vernon), Mike (Joan), Julie (Ken), sister-in-law Lynn, and several nieces and nephews.

Raymond was predeceased by his parents Charles and Marion Cooley and brother Douglas “Weasel” Cooley. By Ray’s request cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. A celebration of his life will take place from 2-4pm on Saturday, April 1st at Glasgow Square, New Glasgow. Donations in memory of Raymond may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
