MY NOVA SCOTIA GRANDMOTHER.
I met you in the fall.
Amongst the scarlet, gold and red.
The colours crashed round you.
I was blinded, barely seeing.
Bears roamed your garden.
I heard of an old bull Moose, tall as a tree,who blocked the road through the woods.
Above, eagles flew in the bright blue.
Calling, their wings blazoned with bars of white.
You put your arms around me, so light.
"Hello, my dear", you said.
