Heartbroken. We're losing all of the good ones.
Received word this morning that, yet another one of my wrestling friends passed away. Midget wrestling star Clifford Fraser (a.k.a. Farmer Brooks).
Clifford and I had some great times, both tagging together and opposing each other in mixed tag team matches across the Atlantic provinces. Whether I teamed with him or, as the villainous Masked Thunderbolt, I tagged with legendary Sky Low Low to oppose him, we always had fun and developed a bond of friendship both in and outside of the ring that continued for decades after we were both finished with in-ring activities.
I'll never forget the time I handcuffed him to his gear bag in such a way that he couldn't get into the bag to get his gear. Going to the Shediac Inn with him when we got back to our homebase after a show that was closeby, like Moncton, Cocagne or Amherst. We would drink until one of either two things occurred. Paula had to come to get him or, more often than not, we ended back at my place where he would promptly bend at the waist, put his head on the couch cushion and fall asleep. That's right, literally, almost standing! Than Paula would come to get him. I do tell some of these stories and more about Clifford in my autobiography Pain, Torture, Agony. Yes, he left that much of an impression on me.
My heart aches for Kim , Andrew the girls and all of his family. What gems they all are.
Rest in peace my friend. You've made this world better just by being in it. Please say hello to Sky for me.

Just heard about Clifford and wanted to send our heartfelt condolences to you all!
I have lots of great memories of Clifford, especially when we were younger, of course, growing up and playing on River St.
He was always a very pleasant and friendly person, and our family certainly thought a lot of him.
Please know that our hearts ache for you all, and hope that all the good memories that you all have will help you through the pain of this very difficult time..
