Obituary of Mary Jane Fraser

Mary Jane (Somerville) Fraser age 83 of New Glasgow passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 4, 2022. Born in New Glasgow she was the daughter of the late Eva May (Andrews/Somerville) Woolley. Mary was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow. She is survived by her daughter Cathy (Walter) Larkin, her grandchildren who she was very proud of, Ashley (Greg Campbell) and Alex. As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin and sister Margaret Gibbs. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service by Mary’s request. Burial of Mary and Edwin’s ashes will take place at a later date in Church Brook cemetery Little Harbour, together forever. The family would like to express their thanks to VON continuing care, Atlantic Superstore Pharmacy staff, Palliative care staff, Chemo nurses and Transitional care staff; along with, Dr. Schnare, Dr. Farrell, Dr. Kwasnik and Dr. Craig. Special thanks to Debbie Williams. The Family would also like to thank Ruth and Heather for their visits and kindness. Donations in Mary’s memory if desired can be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Transitional Care Unit recreational fund or charity of one’s choice.
