Obituary of Terry Gunton

New Glasgow- Terrence “Terry” Robert Gunton, 75, passed peacefully surrounded by his family’s love and with his devoted wife at his side Thursday October 27, 2022 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, he was one of seven children born to the late Joseph Reginald and Zella Clarice(Marshal)Gunton, step father, Donald “Don” Eisnor, and Foster Father, Frank Locker. Terry touched the lives of many and is survived by his wife and love of his life Linda Patricia(Green), their children Frances (Henry Jessop), Robert (Lisa Paschal), Donald “Don”(Jennifer MacPherson), and Terri-Lynn (Brian Cameron), grandchildren; Crystal and Devon O’Hara, Daniel “Dan” Gunton, Natasha (Nathan) and Mark Gunton, Aaron Shindruk, Haylee “Ashlynn” Gunton-Shindruk, and Kalie Cameron, chosen granddaughter Jessica Paschal, great-grandchildren; Christopher, Siearrah, Carter, and Zayden, siblings; Joan (Art), Wendy, and George (Sharon), brother- in- law John and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased; by his parents, step-father, foster father, mother and father- in- law Dorothy and John, sisters Marge and Yvonne, brother Richard “Dick”, brother- in- law Allan, sisters- in- law Beverly “Bev” and Pauline, nephew Daniel and niece Susie. The family will be receiving visitors from 10:00am until 12pm Monday October 31, 2022 at the Maranatha Bible Church, 490 Abercrombie Road, New Glasgow with service to follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Joe Thibault presiding. Burial will follow in the MacLellan’s Mountain Cemetery, MacLellan’s Mountain. Reception to follow at the church.
