Grace Isabel Gunn, East River St Marys Died peacefully on September 23rd. Born February 10, 1935 she was the daughter of William and Mary (Mosher) Greene She leaves behind her daughter Irene Gunn (Charlie Casselman), son Ian Gunn (Melissa MacPhee) her grandsons Cameron and Colton Gunn, sister Marion Hattie, brother James (Patsy) Greene, and many well loved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Robert Gunn, brothers Elmer and Harold Greene, sisters Joyce Archibald, Margaret MacDougall, Anna Cameron, nephew Wayne Greene Grace felt strongly about family and spent her life supporting her immediate family along with her siblings and special nieces and nephews. She most enjoyed having family and friends stop by for visits and being connected to family meant the world to her. One of Grace’s favourite activities was trout fishing at Black Brook Lake with her husband Bobby. She was well known for being the one to always catch the limit. She greatly enjoyed being on the hill behind the house picking blueberries. She spent many years supporting various committees within her local church, Bethany United and the Ladies Auxiliary of the local Fire Department. She always had a Chicklet in her pocket for any children she came in contact with. Well known for her cinnamon rolls, her chokecherry and apply jelly, her donuts and pies and many homemade baked items that became gifts shared among her friends, neighbourhood and extended family. Special thanks is extended to the supportive care provided by various units of the Aberdeen Hospital. Thanks is also extended to the various care givers who came from near and far to care for Grace in her home during these last few months. Donations can be made to Bethany United Church, East River St Marys and The Aberdeen Hospital Foundation. Arrangements are under the care of H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Visitation will be held at H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow on Friday, September 30th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The celebration of life will be held in Bethany United Church, East River St Marys on Saturday, October 1st at 2:00p.m. The Family requests that the public are asked to wear a mask to the visitation and the celebration of life. www.angusfuneralhomes.com
