Margaret Marcella Katherine (Rogers) Cody, daughter of the late Augustus and Mary Margaret Rogers and Margaret (Peg) Kenny passed away August 29, 2022 at Valley Hospice in Kentville. Margaret grew up in Roman Valley Guysborough County, married James Cody and raised her family in Manchester Guys. Co. Margaret’s greatest accomplishments were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. “Nanny Jim” quickly became her most prestigious title. Mom was a kind, patient and forgiving person who always welcomed everyone into her home for a chat and to share a meal. Her kind easy way made everyone that met her quickly referred to her as a friend. Mom is survived by her children Celina, Mulgrave; Wanda (Darren), Kentville; David (Shawna), Manchester; Juanita (Carm), Ottawa; sisters: Mae Vitello and Julia Peters. She was predeceased by her husband James Cody, brothers Peter and Frankie, sister Helen and son-in-law Darryl Ley. Funeral mass will be at St. Patrick's Parish, Guysborough Intervale 11am Wednesday Sept 7, 2022 followed by internment of ashes in St Anne's Cemetery, Guysborough. Donations in memory of Mom may be made to Boylston Community Center, Boylston Nova Scotia. Family flowers only. angusfuneralhomes.com
