Obituary of Joanne Louise Ives

Ives, Joanne Louise -It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joanne Louise Ives Sinclair's Island (formally of Stellarton) on August 19, 2022. Joanne passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones at her side including her two special fur babies Mya and Nacho. Joanne worked as a dedicated dental assistant for over 45 years with Dr. Moe Haquail, Dr. Art MacLean and Dr. Tara Carruthers and staff who she considered friends sharing many fond memories. She also proudly served as a member of the New Glasgow Kinettes. Sitting on the deck of her home with a cup of tea in her hand, surrounded by family and friends was paradise for Joanne, she met each morning with gratitude, while watching the sunrise gave her tremendous peace. Joanne was predeceased by her parents David and Florence (Flo) (Smith) Ives, sister Pearl and brother in law Billy MacMillan. She will be sadly missed by her brothers Brian, step brother Art Vacheresse, John (Tammy), sister Jean, nephews and nieces Matthew (Amber), Mark (Ashley), Adam (Vanessa), Alex (Otis), Cory (Jill), T-Anna (Jordan), Gavin, great nieces Tessa and Mia and great nephew Henley. Joanne will also be deeply missed by her cousins and many cherished friends. Special thanks are sent out to the caring health professionals of the VON and PALLIATIVE Care Team.
