Please share a memory of Heather to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Warner, Heather Ann passed away peacefully on August 17, 2022 in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia with her family by her side. Heather was born on May 16, 1938, daughter of the late Jean Murdoch. She was a devoted wife and mother and is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Delbert Warner. She is also survived by her sister Cynthia Pretty of Halifax and cousins Jeannie Murdoch Griggs of Riverview, NB, Scott Murdoch of Thorburn, and Carol Murdoch Lample. She was predeceased by their only child, daughter Debbie, aunt Nancy Murdoch, and cousin Robert Murdoch. Heather was a bookkeeper and worked as secretary to East Pictou Rural High School for 44 years. Upon her retirement in 2000, she continued to volunteer as well as being an active member of the East Pictou Foundation Committee. She was extremely organized in the office and was the go-to person if you had questions or needed anything. Heather’s faith was important to her, and so she regularly attended the Barney’s River Presbyterian Church across the road from where she lived. Every Sunday morning, she could be seen walking to church. She was bookkeeper for the church’s Memorial Fund Committee, and she was especially proud of her involvement with the Splash program that provided resources for newborns and infants attending Sunday School. Heather was kind-hearted, loyal, and trustworthy. She loved birds, especially cardinals, watering her many flowers and never missed an opportunity to go shopping. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is at peace in the presence of her Savior. Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow with visitation on Sunday, August 21 from 2-5pm from where funeral services will be held Monday, August 22 at 1pm followed by a graveside committal service & burial at the Kenzieville Cemetery. The family asks that MASKS be worn for the visitation and funeral service. Donations can be made in memory of Heather to the Barney’s River Presbyterian Church or to the Kenzieville Cemetery. angusfuneralhomes.com
