John A. MacDonald
1944-2022
MacDonald, John Andrew passed away peacefully August 13, 2022 in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia with his family by his side.
John A. was born December 7, 1944, a son of the late J. Bernard and S. Mildred (Innes) MacDonald of High Street, New Glasgow, NS.
John was predeceased by a sister Berndette (and brother-in-law Doug MacPherson) and a brother William “Bill” MacDonald.
Left to mourn are sisters: Karen (Gerry Curran) MacDonald, Elizabeth “Bish”(Al) McGrath and Rachel (Alex) Mahar, sister-in-law Leslie Milner, numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place.
At his request, there will be no visitation. A family committal service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, New Glasgow with Father Gary MacPherson presiding.
The family would like to express our appreciation for the comfort and care he received from all the Nurses and Doctors who attended him in his final days.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Fibromyalgia Association of Canada.
