Both Gary and I were saddened to hear about Joe's passing. When we first moved to Caledonia back in 2010 we had this lovely man show up at our door to say "welcome to the community" with a Christmas card and a box of chocolates. And as the years followed he returned every Christmas with greetings and chocolates and we also got to know him better with the meals at the Caledonia Community Center and visits to his camp or a run in at a store in town. Joe left a lasting impression on us, he was truly a gem and a fine gentleman. Take comfort in the days ahead and know that others share your grief. Sincerely, Beth & Gary Edwards

One of the funniest memories I had with Joey, was when I was setting up the underground fence for my dog. He asked me how strong the shock was, so I passed him the collar and told him to touch the prongS. He then told me it wasn’t working, so I told him to touch both of them at same time lol. Let’s just say, the collar was a success.

So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was such an upbeat guy who always had a smile on his face. It was a pleasure to play crib with or against him at 110 wing and I always enjoyed running into him somewhere on Foord street and having a chat. Joe will definitely be missed by many.
