Obituary of Doreen Fulmore

Elda Doreen Fulmore passed away peacefully on Monday May 9th, with her loving family by her side.Doreen was born to Ernest and Elda Greenough October 20th, 1934 in Five Islands, Nova Scotia. A place she was excited to return to visit each summer.
She is survived by her three children Sheila (James) Sloan, Karla (Darren) MacKenzie and Scott (Monica) Fulmore; her grandchildren Ryan (Brianna) Sloan, Nicole Sloan, Liam and Aidan Fulmore; Great-grandchildren Emery and Rosa Sloan; brother in law Burchell (Lucia) Fulmore; sisters in law Joan Thompson and June Fulmore; and several nieces and nephews, including her special niece Helen Greenough. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Charles Fulmore; sister Hazel Perrin; and brothers Clifford, Russel, John and Bruce Greenough.
Doreen worked as a registered nurse in Montreal, Halifax and finished her career at the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow. She enjoyed many years of retirement which included time spent with family, travelling, and playing cards with her longtime friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 3p.m Friday May 13th at the Trinity United Church in New Glasgow. A reception will follow the service in the church hall.
Family flowers only by request. Donations can be made to Trinity United Church, VON or a charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank Maritime Oddfellows Home and Dr. James MacLachlan for their excellent care.
