Obituary of Agnes Dunlop Craig MacKay

Agnes Mackay born April 27, 1942, aged 79 years, passed away peacefully on February 27th. Agnes is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Jack Mackay, her son, Jamie, and her brother Jim. Agnes was a valued member of the community and worked in banking during her early life. She lived a full and wonderful life as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed curling, ski-doing, skating, and reading as well as her trips to Florida and other destinations. She had a passion for working on her home and garden as well as ensuring family and friends received personalized greetings and gifts on special occasions. These will be missed by all; every card carried with it her special charm of letting people know they were in her heart. She enjoyed spending time, and fishing, at the family cottage in Cameron Settlement with her grandchildren and friends; always ensuring there was ample food for all. Agnes is also survived by brothers-in-law, Frank (Cheryl), Colin (Bre), Paul Embelton, sister-in-law, Dana (Peter), Lilla (Bruce), and Jeanie Mackay. She is the adored grandmother of Conor (Jenny), Chelsea (Zach), and Mariah. She’s the great-grandmother of Adeline. She’s survived by many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. She was predeceased by her parents Stan and Christine Cox, a brother Rod, a sister Dorothy, in-laws Ian and Ann Mackay, brother-in-laws Sandy and David, sister-in-law Joanne.
