Olive and Family:
So sorry to hear of Eldon's passing.
I have many great memories of long ago fishing trips when we were all much younger. I remember trips through the forest in his old army truck which was packed with gear and people. Had lots of fun and even learned a little bit about fishing.
We will be thinking of you during this difficult time.

I met Eldon when I began teaching with Olive at Greenfield in Melrose. He was a lovely man always ready with a smile and a story. Years later, no matter where I saw him he was the same, cheerful and smiling!! They made a wonderful couple. Olive, you will have a big void in your life. Thank heavens for your wonderful family.Thinking of you all as we send heartfelt condolences. Laureen and George Murphy

Dear Olive, Sharlene, Kerry, Sheldon, Kurt and families,
Our hearts have been heavy since hearing that Eldon has passed away. He and dad (another Leafs fan) were lifelong buddies since getting into mischief at Newtown school. Seeing Eldon at firehall breakfasts, church concerts, services and singsongs, after dad passed, gave both mom and I comfort because he always had a hug and a smile for us. One of the last times we were in the choir together, it was a hot night in August. He asked if he could put the window up behind us to let in some cooler air and also let all of East River hear our beautiful singing. Eldon was a fine man whose loss will be felt by many. With love, Becky Peace & Peggy Fraser

So sorry to read Eldon's passing. Grampie was one of the kindest and gentlest people I have ever met..I loved our time at the rink which was often. I truly enjoyed our chance meetings and our school trips to the family sawmill. He and Olive welcomed everyone with true hospitality and love.. Just remember that the world was and is a better place because of his presence and his legacy. You can honor him and remember him in all that you do.. Big hugs all. You can rest assured that Grampie is singing with the angels.
