Obituary of Nancy Elizabeth (Fraser) Darroch

Nancy Elizabeth (Fraser) Darroch - 64 of Thorburn passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2021 in the QE II Health Sciences Centre Halifax. Born in Thorburn she was a daughter of the late Angus and Willena (MacDonald) Darroch. Nancy worked for Canada Post a job she loved delivering mail for over 30 years. She loved to travel, do puzzles, enjoyed being outdoors and doing yardwork. She loved listening to music, especially Alan Jackson. Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, companion and friend whose children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Nancy also loved animals and thought the world of all her fur babies. She is survived by her children Melissa (Jon) Adams and their children Natalie, and Hannah; Heather Fraser (Holly) and their children Kahlen, Carsen and Kendall; Angela (Travis) White and their children Hayden and Hunter; siblings Donna (David) Robertson, Scott (Janifer) Darroch and Karen (Ernie) MacMillan; her partner Vincent MacDonald; her children’s father and former husband James Fraser; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a very good friend Florence Hawthorne. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law Vinie Fraser. Due to new Covid-19 restrictions the visitation will be limited to family and invited guests only from from 1 – 2:45 pm on Saturday December 18, 2021 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home. A funeral service for family and invited guests will follow at 3 pm in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Reeves officiating. Masks are mandatory, proof of vaccination and Id will be required to attend the visitation or funeral service. Due to current restrictions the funeral is limited to family and invited guests only. The service will be live on the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Facebook page at 3 pm on Saturday, December 18, 2021 Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Fund. Nancy was an organ donor and was able to successfully donate three of her organs. www.angusfuneralhomes.com
