Obituary of Alice Louise McDavid

It is with great sadness, we the family of the late Alice Louise McDavid, of Egypt Road, Trenton announce her sudden passing on November 13, 2021 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with her loving family by her side. Alice was born in New Glasgow on June 21, 1956 and was a daughter of the late Basil and Mary (McCarron) McCormick. Alice was a resident of Pictou County all her life and was a former employee of Sobeys and Gammel’s Jewelry Store in New Glasgow. Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who truly enjoyed the time spent with her family; especially her grandchildren Parker and Rowan. She had a wonderful eye for interior decorating. She took great pride in decorating her own home and was always available to give family and friends advice. She loved to spend time outside in her gardens and always enjoyed hosting family get togethers. She was a friend to many and always a listening ear to her four special nieces Shauna, Kristie, Annika and Mandy. Alice is survived by her husband Donald McDavid, Trenton; sons Chad McDavid (Kim Livingston), New Glasgow; Matthew McDavid (Meghan Brophy), New Glasgow her precious grandchildren Parker and Rowan McDavid; sister Joyce (Fred) Heighton, Stellarton; brother Owen McCormick, New Glasgow, sister -in-law Irene McCormick, Halifax. Brothers-in-law Wayne McDavid, Stellarton, John McDavid (Joanne), New Glasgow, Sisters-in-law Barbara Mason(Dave), Granton, Faye Greene (Les), Sylvester and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Alice was predeceased by a sister Barbara and brothers Shaun and Leonard McCormick. In keeping with Alice’s wishes the family would like to celebrate her life privately.
