Please share a memory of Willard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Willard “Willie Woo” Kenneth Fraser MacDonald passed away peacefully at the age of 73 with his family by his side at the ICU in the Aberdeen Hospital on November 5th. Willie was born and raised in Eureka and raised his kids in Pictou Landing and New Glasgow. He spent his career with MT&T where he travelled to various communities within Nova Scotia. He was the most kind, gentle soul you could ever meet. Never had a bad word to say about anybody. Always saw the good in everybody and had the most contagious laugh. He always enjoyed a good laugh with his family and second family at the Bombers Club. After retirement, he spent time at the Bombers club bartending and enjoyed playing a good game of 45’s. Willie never missed a moment as a parent raising two kids after the loss his wife. He enjoyed curling, golf, hunting, fishing, just to name a few sports and activities. He spent years travelling throughout Atlantic Canada for his son’s hockey games bringing joy to each event. He always attended his daughter’s musical festival events as well. He seemed to have a social connection with every person he met. He is survived by daughter Carla Finley (Derek), son Chris MacDonald (Erika Boucher), sister Jean Howard (Richard), Judy Rogerson, grand children Alyssa, Ava, Trysten and Theo. Predeceased by wife Margaret, daughter Leanne, parents Clarence and Lillian MacDonald, brother Grant MacDonald and brother-in-law Paul Rogerson.
