New Glasgow: Allister James (Jimmy) MacDonald Jr passed away peacefully on Oct 26 ,2021 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was a son of the late Allister and Frances (Crawley) MacDonald. Jimmy worked for 34 years at Trenton Works and the past 14 years for ISS/Mainstay Security .He is survived by his wife of 46 years Margie(Falconer),son Jesiah, sister Gladys Cameron ,brothers Mike ,Bill ,Rick also several aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents ,grandparents ,parents-in-law Fred and Margaret Falconer ,granddaughter Davina ,brother Robert Crawley and his best fur friend Buddy.
Thank you to the doctors and nurses of Palliative Care (Liz, Amy, Elizabeth and Cindy to name a few) VON home care and his CCAS, Carla Williams for her care and friendship over the past six years. As per Jimmy’s wishes there will be no wake or funeral. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday Nov. 6th ,2021 at his home 38 Dover Ave. ,New Glasgow from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M.
Donations in memory of Jimmy may be made to the Pictou County Palliative Care Society or the Canadian Cancer Society
