Obituary of Lois Lillian McKinnon

It is with profound sadness the family of the late Lois Lillian McKinnon announce her passing on Oct., 1, 2021 in the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late William and Nellie MacKenzie. Lois was a resident of New Glasgow all her life. She was a very kind and gentle lady who loved her children and adored her grandchildren. Her grandchildren spent a lot of lunch times and after school at her home and she loved every minute of it. Lois stayed at home and raised her children and later worked at different retail jobs retiring from International News. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the CWL. Lois was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her children Cathy (Mitch) Stewart, Jerry (Anita) McKinnon, Lisa McKinnon (Rob Patton), Rob McKinnon (Pam Gallant); 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; niece and chosen sister Lois “Gorm” Morrell; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years Gerald W. MacKinnon, 10 brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation or service by request.
