William Joseph “Bill” Keay – Stellarton:
William Joseph “Bill” Keay age 67 of Stellarton passed away on September 30, 2021 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late Joseph and Jennie (O”Quinn) Keay.
Bill has been a resident of Pictou County all his life. He was employed with Nova Scotia Power for 36 years from where he retired. Bill loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time hunting and fishing.
He was a former member of the Stellarton Fire Department, Branch No. 28 Royal Canadian Legion, Stellarton and was Past President of the Pictou Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife Holly, children Jason (Ceilidh), Joseph “Joey” (Melissa; grandson Draven; granddaughters Cassidy and Emily; siblings Gerry (Cindy) Keay, Janice (Glenn) Keay, Thomas “Tom” (Terri) Keay, and Lois (Lindsay) Sutton several nieces and nephews
A private viewing will be held in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton. Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton with Rev. Charles McPherson presiding. Cremation will follow.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions masks are mandatory and proof of vaccination is required to attend the funeral service.
Donations in his memory may be made to Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care.
