Obituary of Iris Patricia Drake

Iris Drake Dec. 6, 1925 – Sept. 8, 2021 It is with great sadness the family of Iris Drake announce her peaceful passing at the Valley View Villa in Riverton NS. Iris was in her 96th year. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Walter, her three sisters Nora, May, Velma and her brother Douglas. Iris is survived by her son Paul (Gail) of Westville NS., her grandson Adam (Susan) of Langley BC. and her three great grandchildren Gavin, Morgan and Audrey. Iris worked in the “Wings” at Cockshutt Farm Implements in Brantford On. during WWII making airplane parts for the war effort and later worked for Electrohome electronics making speakers. Iris was an accomplished knitter and she loved to sew also. This occupied much of her time in retirement as well as travelling where she and her husband enjoyed the Alaskan cruises, and travelling through the Rocky Mountains and the Prairies. Cremation will take place and interment will take place in her home city of Brantford On. at a later date.
