John Burton Stewart age 70, of Westville
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of a very special man, John Burton Stewart. Westville who passed away Sunday 5th in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
John was the son of the late James W. Stewart and Minnie (Davidson) Stewart.
John was a great man and cared for all his family and friends. He always made time to listen to anyone that may have had problems and never judged anyone. When you asked John for his advice, he was straight up with you and didn’t beat around the bush and expected the same back.
In John’s early years he worked at the Proudfoot’s Hennery in Abercrombie. He loved fishing and hunting or just getting out in the woods.
He will be missed by brother Charlie (Angelina), Evansville and sister Kathleen Shreenan, Landsdown many nieces, nephews and companion Betty Rundle, Westville where john spent his last years.
He was predeceased by brothers Bob, Jim, Cecil, Harold, Tom, and sister Gloria.
Cremation has taken place, as per Johns wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. John’s words were, “when you lay me to rest don’t make a big deal out of it. I’m a pretty plain guy and I’m not all into that stuff”.
