Warren Leslie Mason, Sr. March 13, 1938 – August 13, 2021 We, the family of the late Warren L. Mason, Sr., are saddened to announce his passing on Friday, August 13 in the Palliative Care Unit, Aberdeen Hospital at the age of 83. Warren, of Coalburn, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Warren was born in Borneo, Country Harbour, Guys. Co. to Grant and Sadie (Smith) Mason. He was the second son in the family of 16. In 1959, Warren married his sweetheart Sally. They had 63 years together. For most of his work career, Warren was employed by Scott Paper. He retired from there after 25 years of service. He then worked for a year and a half for Superline Fuels. Warren is survived by his loving wife Sally; his children, Lorene Anderson, Coalburn; Michael (Vye), Middle Sackville; Lisa, Burns Lake, BC; daughter-in-law Terri, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Dr. Graham (Elisa), Brooklyn, New York; Eric (Jessica), Eastern Passage;Chad Jardine, Halifax; Ashley (Adam) Rogers, MacLellan’s Mountain; Travis (Kara) Smeltzer and Rylee Forsyth, MacLellan’s Brook; great-grandfather to Oskar and Elma Olivia; baby girl to be born in October; Jenna and Alicia, Sadie, Theo, Ellis and Ivan; siblings Marion (Carl); Ray (Eunice); Walt; Thelma; Linda; Wayne (Cathy); George (Jane); Carol; Stan (Bonnie); Dave (Barb); Sheila; Neil(June); Kenny (Elaine); Sandra and numerous nieces and nephews. Warren was predeceased by infant children, Laurence and Laura; son, Warren Jr.; son-in-law, Fred Anderson; parents, Grant and Sadie Mason; brother Brenton and numerous in-laws. Due to covid -19 a private family viewing will be held in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home. A private Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 18 from Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn. A public graveside committal service for family and friends will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday, August 18, in the Thorburn Cemetery.
