New Glasgow : William “Douglas” MacKenzie age 64 of New Glasgow passed away on Saturday March 6th ,2021 in the Aberdeen Hospital ,New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late Garfield and Anna (Fraser) MacKenzie . Doug was retired from Nova scotia Power with over 30 years service. He is survived by his brother Earl and his sons Michael and Ryan , a sister Carolyn Dee (Alan) and their children Angela and Steven (Therese) . A number of aunts, uncles and cousins , also by his buddy squirt. He was predeceased by his mother Anna (Fraser) MacKenzie and father Garfield MacKenzie (Betty Walsh). Cremation has taken place , a family graveside service will be held at a later date in the St. Columba Cemetery. Donations in memory of Doug may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
