Obituary of Linda Marie Pitts

Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With broken hearts we announce the passing of Linda Marie Pitts after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on February 12, 2021. Linda passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Linda was born July 2, 1953 in Oshawa, Ontario to the late Danny Hasey of Antigonish. She is survived by her husband and best friend William (Billy) Pitts. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children Christopher (Chantale) Pitts and Monique (John-Paul) Renaud and embraced every single moment with them. She especially loved her role as “Nanny” and will be tremendously missed by her grandchildren Cameron, Charlee, Haven and Maisie. Linda was a loving sister and friend to her sisters Helen Layes, Joanne (Brian) MacVicar, Karen (Gordon) Gullen and Joan (Chris) Matthews and lovingly remembered by all her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Danny, Father-in-law Joe , Mother-in-law Marg and by her two brothers Jamie Hasey and Gary Hasey, who both tragically passed at a very young age. Linda would often be described as the kindest person they had ever met. Linda welcomed everyone with open arms. She had a heart of gold, wore her heart on her sleeve and was truly loved by so many. Those who knew Linda knew of her contagious laugh that would always be followed with a snort. She was always up for a good chuckle. But most of all, Linda enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren who she loved fiercely and who brought her so much joy, as did she to them. For many years Linda worked as a personal care worker at Glen Haven manor which suited her caring heart. You would often hear Linda talk about how much she loved the residents and her coworkers. Linda will be greatly missed and leaves behind nothing but happy beautiful memories for her family. www.angusfuneralhomes.com Visitation will be held at the H.W Angus Funeral Home in New Glasgow on Wednesday, February 17th between the hours of 6 PM and 9 PM with Covid-19 restrictions in place.
