Elsipogtog /Pictou Landing First Nation Norine Elizabeth Nicholas age 59 of Elsipogtog , New Brunswick passed away on Sunday ,January 17th ,2021 in New Brunswick. Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late John and Julia (Clair) Nicholas. Noreen spent her early years in Pictou Landing First Nation before moving to New Brunswick. She enjoyed doing Mi’kmaq crafts and gathering medicine. Surviving are her common-law-husband John Milliea, a daughter Melissa Maloney of Indian Brook First Nation, sons; Godfrey Maloney of Indian Brook First Nation, Avery Nicholas and Cruze Nicholas both of Elsipogtog, several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews .Sisters; Mary Bridgette Paul of Cape Breton, Mary Irene Nicholas, Margaret Ann Nicholas, Frances Joan Nicholas all of Pictou Landing First Nation, Janet Marie Stevens and Shirley Prosper both of Cape Breton. One brother Thomas Clair of Elsipogtog. She was predeceased by brothers Simon Clair, Joseph Clair, John Nicholas, William Nicholas and baby sister Agnes Nicholas. Burial will take place at a later date in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Pictou Landing First Nation. Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W.Angus Funeral Home
