I was so sorry to read of Willie's passing, Evelyn. The two of you were always such great neighbors when you lived in Stellarton, and I have missed seeing you and having little talks and laughs with Willie. Chuck certainly appreciated Willie's help on a number of occasions. Jay asked me to pass on his condolences as well, as he always enjoyed his interactions with Willie. Please know that I am thinking of you. Take care.

Dear Evelyn and family,
I was very sorry to hear of Willie's passing. Please accept my very sincere condolences. My parents Oscar and Elaine have been gone 10 years this past year but I still recall their great stories of when we all rented in the same extended house on the German economy. I have one memory left of you babysitting me down your apartment and my mother coming to get me. I recently had my father's 35mm slides transferred to digital images and they bring back wonderful memories. Thanks to you and Willie for helping to create them.
I will keep you and Willie in my prayers.
God Bless, Pro Patria

Sorry to learn of your husband's passing Evelyn. I called the Beauty Shop earlier today and Donna told me. I used to see him waiting for you in the parking lot in Stellarton. I knew Jean and her family as I had a cottage at Black Point when they did. I am thinking about you at this sad time - life seems to pass by so quickly! Sincerely, Sheila Chisholm.

Evelyn, I am saddened to hear of Willie's passing. I had the pleasure of Willie's friendship through our time with the Royal Canadian Legion over the past 39 years, a true volunteer. Over the years we had many laughs and many heated conversations and I enjoyed every minute of the time I had with Willie, no matter what room he walked into his warm smile would light the room and to say he was well respected well I know you know that. Willie was one of a kind and the Veterans of Pictou County were his number one priority and that was seen many times over. Evelyn know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Willie R.I.P. Comrade your watch is over.

It is funny the small memories that stick with you through the vast hoard of memories that accumulate over more than 60yrs. The Haley family was located directly across the street from us. I remember Willie sanding at the Haley fence talking to Peg and her daughter Evelyn for a long period of time. Laughing and chatting. Willie was very interested in Evelyn, It was I think the beginning of a long and happy relationship and I was witness to that beginning.
Many years later I was involved in some life insurance business at CFB Cornwallis. I was visiting and officer on the base a Major (I forget his name) we had a long and interesting conversation and chatted about Joe Dwyer who the officer knew from his time in London, Before leaving he mentioned that there was another guy on the base from my home town Willie Marcipont. I was delighted and asked for his address on the base, Befoe leaving the area I dropped in and knocked on the door. I was met by a bubbly cheerful Evelyn and spent half an hour chatting with her and Willie. It was a nice visit and the last time I saw this wonderful couple.
I was so sorry to hear of Willies passing. He was a special guy. My sincere condolences to the family.

Bill was a Quartermaster in Gagetown at the Combat Training Center when I was a baby faced Corporal and frequently worked and drove for him. He always, without fail, treated me with the utmost respect and was in many ways a welcoming father figure to me at at time when I needed one. My sincere condolences to your family on the passing of Bill and may God bless and keep you all.
