Coady, Judy Marie, age 66 of Central Onslow passed away peacefully on November 26, 2020 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in New Glasgow, she was the eldest daughter of the late Medford and Beth (Elizabeth) MacLeod (Dewar). Judy grew up on the family farm in Central West River. After high school, Judy went on to nursing school and graduated from the Aberdeen School of Nursing. Later in life she returned to school and in 2002 she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from StFX University. She loved working with newborns and their Mums in the NICU. Until her health issues took over, Judy was working towards a degree in Law. Judy is survived by former husband, Ken Coady; her daughter, Shauna (Tim) Crosby; son, Brian (Pepper Hughes) Coady; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Chad), Logan, and Evan Crosby, Zack Coady; great grandson, Lukas McGrath; sister, Brenda (Jim) Parker; nieces, Susan, Allyson, Amelia Parker and companion and special friend Jack Worth. She was predeceased by her parents Medford and Beth MacLeod and several aunts and uncles. Judy’s remains are being cremated under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private burial will take place at a later date. Judy had a great fondness for animals, a love that has been inherited by her daughter Shauna. Donations in her memory may be made to the Pictou County SPCA.
