Una Marcyline Wallace -age 82, of Thorburn passed away on October 26, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Collingwood, NS she was a daughter of the late Verna and Frederick MacKay of Thorburn.
Una loved baking, playing cards at the Thorburn card party, doing puzzles and Sunday drives with the family.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Donald Wallace, Thorburn; children Carol Wallace (Gary Cameron), Thorburn; Donnie Wallace (Paula), MacLellan’s Brook; Gloria Wallace, Thorburn; Karen Duff (Steven), New Glasgow; Tammy Stewart (David), Trenton; grandsons Robert Wallace, MacLellan’s Brook; Ryan Wallace, Oxford; sister Betty Peacock, Toronto; niece Jocelyn Nix, Kentville and nephew Jim Nix, New Glasgow.
She was predeceased by her mother and step-father Verna and Frederick MacKay; brother Leo Nix and grandson Christopher Wallace.
The family will receive friend from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, October 30, 2020 in the H.W Angus Funeral home from where funeral service will be held at 11 am with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines must be followed. Burial will be in the Thorburn Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society.
