I was spending the weekend with my favourite person in the world, my auntie Josephine in July 25, 2020. It was mission weekend in Maligomish. I took the weekend off of work to spend time with my auntie Josephine. We had a fun weekend and won a good amount at the vlts having fun. I don’t drive. I never drove since 2002 when I had a bad car accident. But, auntie Josephine made me drive and I couldn’t say no to her. Lol. I jumped in the drivers seat and asked which one is the break? She laughed and asked if I was joking. I told her no. She laughed even harder and said nuku. Just drive tus. I figured it out and drove her to the wolf den. We weren’t winning there so we decided to go to the bar behind shoppers. The name will come to me soon. Auntie Josephine told me, I’ll drive to town. So we stopped down her house so she could get sneakers on because she only had on her moccasins since we had no plans on going far. We end up going to that bar that I still can’t remember the name of, it’s down past the Aberdeen hospital anyways. Basically walking distance from there. Anywho, me and auntie Josephine went to play vlts there. I just received my crb, so we were having fun spending it. We saw my cousins Jenny, Mary San and Susan there. I saw my cousin Jenny playing that game that has bonuses in fives. It says five, ten, fifteen, etc. The game that looked like fun. So I decided to put five dollars in a machine near her and played the same game as my cousin Jenny. All of a sudden, I heard my cousin say hola fuck. You won that bonus. I was thinking who. Huh. Then realized it was my machine that was clicking. I had a row of hearts and didn’t even realize for a minute. She told me that people were chasing that bonus for months. The vlt machine cashed me out when the bonus spins were over. It was $1555. That was the last time I won that good. I guess my aunt and cousins were good luck.
Shortly after I won, my aunt and I went back to Pictou landing. I bought groceries and cigarettes on the way home for us. When we got back to Auntie Josephine’s house, we decided to sit out front on the step to have a cigarette. There was lots of shooting stars. Despite the fact that shooting stars usually don’t happen until around my ma’s birthday on August 11. We sat outside for a few hours watching all the shooting stars. Until we saw a meteor. It was a beautiful blue one that went across the sky. Right after a green meteor went across the sky. I only saw a green and blue ones separately and at different times before. I was so happy that I witnessed both in the same night with my aunt. Anyways this was a great memory and thought I should share it with my family. Auntie Josephine is missed. I pray for her. Love you guys. From. Jenny Gloade.
