Obituary of Deanna Elizabeth Francis

Deanna Elizabeth Francis, Pictou Landing First Nation It was with great sadness that the family of Deanna Elizabeth Francis announce her passing on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the age of 49. Dena will be lovingly remembered by her longtime partner Darrell Joe Gerrior and their son Dennis James Francis. Dena will be forever remembered by her brothers Don (Mel) Francis, Alan (Mary) Francis, John Francis (Darlene MacLean), sisters Linda Francis, Delores Francis, Ann (Donnie) Muise, all of Pictou Landing First Nation; Linda Lou Francis, Millbrook, and sister-in-law Shirley Francis, Pictou Landing First Nation; God Father John Roderick Prosper, Patqnkek, God Daughter Morgan Stevens, and special niece Megan Francis; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews also extended family; dear friends; fur babies Tiny and Juan Dena was predeceased by her parents Dennis and Alice (Knockwood) Francis, brothers Gilbert, Joseph Dennis, Roderick and Randall Francis; sister Mary Lou (Anthony) Nicholas. Dena enjoyed playing online games and was forever winning prizes for her loved ones. Although she had MS she still enjoyed going 4 wheeling and competing at Special Olympics at the Mikmaq Summer Games with her family. Her remains will rest in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church Pictou Landing First Nation after 7:00 pm on Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Saturday with father Tom MacNeil presiding with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
