I had the pleasure of meeting Colin at Summer Street and was instantly smitten. His infectious smile lit up the room and his charm was delightful. Condolences to you and your family Anne and to his Summer Street family. He will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.

I had the pleasure of knowing Colin in his work life and as a coach in Special Olympics ...when we were competing in Wolfville and staying at Acadia university, I was walking to the dining hall when I noticed Colin straggling behind the rest of his team... I asked him if he needed some help..."no, I'm fine" he said. I noticed that what was slowing him up was the cracks in the sidewalk, of which there were many...I could hear Colin saying over and over to himself..."never step on a crack...break mother's back." He was desperately trying to avoid the cracks and would accept no assistance. He was proudly independent. I walked with him to the dining hall...we were the last to arrive...but not one step wrong!
I will miss him and think of him when ABBA comes on my playlist. Thank you Colin for the lesson of patience and kindness!

Sending our deepest condolences to Colin's family. My daughter knows Colin from Summer Street and she enjoyed his friendship. He always made a point to check on her as she uses a wheelchair. He was a gentleman and so very kind. He had the biggest smile and made the room light up! I only met him a few times. My fondest memory of him was at a dance one night. He came over and waved to Shavonne. As she sat in her chair on the dance floor he decided to get a chair from the table and sit beside her. This made my heart melt. He was an amazing friend to her! She is saddened by the news. Sending prayers Sheila and Wesley Lees our daughter is Shavonne Lees
