Obituary of Flora Minnie Brown

Brown, Flora Minnie, 99 of the Valley View Villa, Riverton formerly of Haven Brook Manor and Hopewell, Pictou County passed away September 9, 2020 in the villa. Born in Williamsdale, Cumberland County she was a daughter of the late Edmund and Annie(Lloy)Matheson. Flora was a resident of the Valley View Villa, Riverton for the past 7 years having previously resided at Haven Brook Manor, Riverton and Hopewell where she resided all her married life. She was a member of St. Columba United Church in Hopewell. She is survived by her children; Wilfred Edmund(Faye)Brown, Lorne; Karen Elaine(Tony)Olender, Hopewell; Alden Keith(Anne)Brown, Lake Echo; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Carmen, a daughter Cathy Louise and a brother Leroy Matheson. At this time, the family would like to extend a special thank you to the Haven Brook Manor and Valley View Villa, Riverton for the exceptional care shown towards Flora over the past number of years. Cremation has taken place. A public graveside committal service will be held 2pm Monday at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Alma with Bonnie Langille presiding.
