Obituary of Louis Joseph Francis

Louis Joseph Francis With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Louis Joseph Francis, age 44, on August 31, in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in New Glasgow, on March 27, 1976, to the late Kenneth and Alice Francis, of Pictou Landing. Louie was an avid sports enthusiast. He loved playing hockey, baseball and pool, with the Pictou County Billiards Association. Some of his best moments were cheering on his children, in the stands or on the field. He loved spending time with his family, watching the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Blue Jays. He enjoyed spending his summers on the water, lobster fishing. He was a man of many trades. He worked for PLFN Fisheries, a bouncer, he ran a gym, ‘Lou Bodies’, in Pictou Landing, a council member for PLFN and had taken the Wind Turbine Technician course. He will forever be missed by his children, Brianna and Dylon, and their mother, Stephanie (Billy McIver). siblings, Kenny Joe (Sylvia), Kelly (Andrew), Billy (Jordan), Tina (Eric), Troy and chosen brother, John (Jenny); godchildren, Shawna Francis, Alyssa Phillips, Cheyenne Thomas, & Jayden Thomas; aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin Thursday September 3rd at 3pm (2pm for immediate family), at Our Lady Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Pictou Landing. Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday Sept 5th at 11am with Father Tom MacNeil presiding. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Mass will be for family only.
