Dorothy Isabel MacDonald of Valley View Villa, Riverton passed away peacefully June 29, 2020 at the age of 103. Born in Stellarton, Pictou County on May 14, 1917 she was a daughter of Margaret Barclay and Robert Lawrence.
She had lived in Trenton for many years and later moved back to Stellarton
She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Don) Cormier, MacLellan’s Brook; granddaughters Tanya Cormier, Middle River; Tara (George) Cameron, MacLellan’s Brook; and Tricia (Paul) MacNeil, Mount William; five great-grandsons Covey, Cale Cameron and Colton, Ashton and Kyler Cormier MacNeil along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Fraser MacDonald, brother Whitman Lawrence, sister Violet Whitewood.
Special thanks to her niece Dot Duggan for always keeping in contact with her. Mom loved to have visitors, playing cards, cooking, baking and shopping at Sears. Thank-you to all the staff at Valley View Villa for the excellent care she received.
A public graveside service will be held in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens with Fergie MacKay officiating on Thursday ,July 2nd at 11 A.M. . Please be mindful of social distancing due to Public Health Guidelines.
