Obituary of Hubert Allister Conway

Conway, Hubert Allister- It is with great sadness that the family of Hubert Allister Conway of Churchville, announces his passing on Friday June 12, 2020, in the Aberdeen Hospital. Hubert was 83 years. Born in Plymouth in 1936, Hubert was a son of the late William Conway and Margaret Conway (Gordon). Hubert retired from Trenton Works after over 40 years. He was an avid mechanic and carpenter and could always be found tinkering in the garage or working in his garden. He enjoyed his time spent at the camp with a drink of rum by the lake and was always up for a game of darts. He is survived by his children Arlene Spears (Lloyd), Stellarton; Billy Conway (Judy), Alberta; Wayne Conway (Shelley), Oxford and Larry Conway (Lisa), Saltsprings; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years Lillian Jean Conway, sister Doreen; brothers, Doug and Harry a grandson Joey. Due to Covid -19 restrictions, Hubert’s life will be celebrated privately, with a family visitation and service to be held from the H.W. Angus Funeral home, New Glasgow.
