Obituary of Florence Lucy Reid

Florence Lucy Reid age 93 of Glen Haven Manor New Glasgow, formerly of Liscomb, NS passed away on June 11, 2020 in the Glen Haven Manor. Born in Bedford, NS on October 14, 1926 she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Edith (Coster) Greene. Florence taught school for 25 years and later went on to work in Anderson’s Store in Sherbrooke and at Sherbrooke Village. She was a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, a member of St. Luke’s Vestry and Port Bickerton / Liscomb Parish Council. She is survived by a sister Edith Green, Stellarton and several nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her husband Weldon, son Kenneth, brothers Gordon and Thomas, sister Mabel Luddington, several half-brothers and half-sisters. A visitation restricted to immediate family only due to Covid -19 Pandemic will be held in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Burial will take place in the St. Luke’s Parish Cemetery in Liscomb.
