STELLARTON- (Connie) Constance Marlene (MacGillivray) Fulton, of Stellarton. It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend on Friday May 22nd, 2020 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow on June 4, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Hugh D. and Loretta May (Hardy) MacGillivray. Connie in her 82nd year was the loving wife of Allan whom she was married to for 60 years. Mom at the age of 17 attended Christene’s Beauty Salon in Stellarton where she became a hairdresser. She always had an interest in hair and would often comment about someone’s ‘‘lovely hairline’’ or ‘’lovely shaped head’’! Mom was very pleased to have obtained her grade 12 GED on her birthday at the age of 50. Mom was a cherished mother to her three children: Daughter, Lorrie (Gregor) Sample, Lower Onslow, son’s, Gordon (Kimberley) Linacy, David (Lori) Scotchill and Grammie to Bryce and Paige. Grammie cherished her two only grandchildren and was more than excited when Bryce was born on her birthday! A few years later she had the arrival of Paige, of which she would boast about because of her beautiful artwork. Mom was well known for her cooking and baking skills and she baked the best sponge cake with chocolate icing for all of our birthdays, her cooking will never be forgotten as she passed her cooking skills on to her son David. Mom will never be forgotten. Mom is also survived by sisters: Ann Duggan, Westville; Jean MacLeod, Truro;, Rita Leavitt, Newcastle, ON; Mary Lou MacKenzie (Barry), Antigonish. Connie was predeceased by sisters, Joyce Murray, Ruth MacDonald, Vera Crockett and Margaret Linton, brothers, Doug and Arthur MacGillivray.
Thank you to the staff of Glen Haven Manor for your care and support. Thanks also to the Doctors of the Westville Medical Centre.
